The grand opening of a new ice cream and frozen yogurt shop on Broadway, Ice Cream Factoria, will take place Saturday and Sunday at noon each day.

Opening weekend celebrations will include face painting and balloons for children as well as raffle giveaways. The store opens at noon each day during opening weekend and closes at 10 p.m. The face painter will be available from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Ice Cream Factoria—located at 23-16 Broadway (at Midland Avenue), the former location of Scoops and TCBY—features 50 flavors of frozen yogurt, 44 flavors of hard ice cream and 50 flavors of soft ice cream.

After the initial opening weekend, the store’s regular winter hours are 12 p.m.-9 p.m., seven days a week. The store is owned by Israel Ocasio and Shanika Chabel. Customers can earn coupons by registering at http://www.icecreamfactoria.com/.
