Updated 2008 - The Bergen County Board of Chosen Freeholders recently approved a Bergen County Community Development Block Grant of $50,000 to the Fair Lawn Economic Development Corporation to administer the EDC's first - and the borough's second - Sign & Awning Grant.

This new grant will support sign and awning replacement throughout the Fair Lawn business community, providing financial incentives to commercial and business property owners to replace old and faded signs and awnings.

The Broadway Improvement Corporation also provides grants to businesses within the special improvement district. Both programs are described in the brochure linked below.

Sign and awning grants encourage the replacement of old, faded signs and awnings by commercial properties and businesses within the Broadway Special Improvement District, providing a financial incentive to those improving their properties or businesses.
